Be part of our innovative Land Development team in Portland, Oregon, as a Design Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that will enhance your skills and support your professional growth. We’re seeking a passionate, curious, and technically skilled engineers with a strong interest in land development. At BKF, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to impactful designs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Drainage Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
• Preparation of specifications and cost estimates
• Projects include Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use, Roadway, Highway and Public Works projects

Requirements

• 0 - 3 years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works
• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with great listening skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• EIT or FE certification is preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!

Benefits

• The typical base salary range for this position is $72,200.00 - $91,400.00 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
